Getting Started

Logging into the system.

Note:

Unix is case sensitive. This means that unlike DOS and VMS, the command "who" is different from the command "WHO".

Changing your password.

To change your password you use the yppasswd command. This will prompt you for your old password, and then your new one. Make sure that you pick a good password. Unlike the some system, passwords don't expire. However, we do run password checkers, and if your password is poor, your account will be disabled.
